In charge of the E&M design team, for the AsiaWorld-Expo and Marriott Hotel Projects at the Hong Kong International Airport • Managed the engineering and CAD Team • Coordinated the E&M design with the project partners (main contractor, architect, consultant, client and operator) • Monitored and followed up with the materials and drawings submissions • Provided support to the production team with on-site issues • Participated in the tendering for other projects Achievements: • Saved 100,000USD or 25% on the procurement of major air-conditioning equipments by optimizing the consultant design. Committed the team into demonstrating the validity of the new design, which has been subsequently endorsed by all project partners. • Commissioned a thermal storage system worth over 3 million USD at the international exhibition centre AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong. Continuously educated the client about this advanced design. Initiated and conducted a 48 hour final inspection during the last week of my staying in the company. Triggered a fast financial settlement by the client.

Feb 1999-Feb. 2004 SNECMA MOTEURS (aircraft & space engines manufacturer, France) May 2003-Feb. 2004 Project Manager (cryogenic space engines division, Western France). 10-month secondment as a representative of the aircraft engine team to cooperate with the space engine team for the development of the new Ariane 5 launcher. * Evaluated technical proposals (numerical simulations & expertise works) * Monitored the work progress under tight deadlines to meet the target of launching Ariane 5 ECA in June May 2001 -May 2003 Aero-thermal Design Engineer (aircraft engines division, Paris area) Responsible for: 1. the aero-thermal design of high pressure turbine blades for military engines 2. follow up the manufacturing process Achievements: * Conducted the thermal design of a film cooled high pressure stator for the engine of the new Rafale military aircraft. Followed up its manufacturing in the SNECMA production plant. » Close work with production teams to match an efficient design with their constraints * Updated the thermal design methodology for film cooled high pressure blades » 2004 : Inventor of an International patent on gas turbine blade cooling technology * Developed an automation software for a blade thermal calculation which resulted in : » Time and costs savings (by 60% in terms of costs) » 2002 Creativity project award by Snecma Feb. 1999 -May 2001 Numerical Methods Engineer, (aircraft engines division, Paris area) High Pressure Turbines Department Achievements: * Development of 1D and 3D external aero-thermal simulation codes and their user interface * Codes documentation and maintenance, customers training and support » Contributed to the Development teams with finer tools to achieve better designs
